Spotify Update on Subscription Price Increase in September
Spotify update on subscription price increase starting in September 2025 for some countries, but not the US. A screenshot of the update is available below.
The price of Spotify Premium is increasing from €10.99 to €11.99, a 9% increase for existing subscribers in Europe, South Asia, Africa, and Latin America. The exact increase may vary depending on your local currency. An email update explaining how the change will affect you will be sent in the coming days.
Spotify says that the price increase is intended to support investment in innovation, product offerings, and new features.
Spotify did not specify which countries will be affected, but if you are charged in euros for your premium subscription or reside in any of the regions mentioned above, you should prepare for a price increase in September.
In the UK and France, subscription prices for Individual Plans are already above €11.99, so a further increase in those regions is unlikely this year. Prices in the US are also not expected to rise by September.
